Les Arcs nightlife can be ‘high energy après ski on the side of the mountain then wild dancing to the early hours’ or ‘warm vin chaud with a beautiful view then sophisticated evening cocktails in a warm bar’.
Or a mixture of the two!
Where you choose to stay will decipher evening events because Les Arcs is big it is split into 6 resorts. The first is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, which is the lowest town at 744m. Above Bourg is Les Arcs 1600 then Les Arcs 1950 and Les Arcs 2000. Around the mountain we have Les Arcs 1800 and Peisey-Vallandry (at 1600m).
We hardly recommend walking (after too many drinks) in dark, snowy conditions - but for the prepared, the 20 minute walk between Les Arcs 1950 and Les Arcs 2000 is not difficult.
Late night travel between the rest of the resorts should be by vehicle and can be costly with snow and ice on the ground.
For travel information between resorts go to the bottom of this post.
Resorts of Les Arcs and the nightlife
Les Arcs 1800 has the biggest nightclub of all the resorts - The Apokalypse - and also has an abundance of bars as well as smaller clubs for warm up drinks.
Whereas Les Arcs 1950/Les Arcs 2000 are spirited in the evening too. Peisey-Vallandry has two late night bars - pick the right night and you are in for a treat.
