Méribel is made up of 5 resorts: Les Allues, Méribel Village, Méribel Centre, Méribel Mottarets and Méribel Les Hauts. It links the 3 Valleys resorts including, La Tania, Courchevel and Val Thorens.

Méribel starts at 1450m and reaches a top elevation of 2952m offering access to 76 pistes and 56 lifts just around Méribel.

The closest airport to Méribel

As with Courchevel the actual closest airport to Meribel is the Courchevel Altiport (airport) based at 2000m on top of a mountain in the centre of the French ski resort Courchevel. If you are brave enough this extreme airport has a very short runway, with no go-round for landings, where you can land or arrive in a smaller aircraft such as a helicopter or fixed wing plane, and a Whiterides driver can pick you up for the final leg of your transfer to Meribel ski resort or any other surround French ski resorts.

However the majority of people transferring to Meribel this winter will fly into one of the more popular airports of Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble or Chambery, which is the closest airport, offering a transfer time of just over 1hr and 15mins direct along the motorway then up to resort from Moutiers.

The transfer route from Geneva is a short Motorway trip then via the beautiful town of Annecy, where you will treated to a stunning drive along the shores of Lac d'Annecy.

Grenoble Airport to Tignes Transfers

Grenoble-Isère Airport situated between Grenoble and Lyon offers a wide range of flight choices to and from the UK on a daily basis. Being a bit smaller than the other airports it is generally not a busy.

The majority of the route is via motorway so sit back and relax in our minibus as we take you direct to Moutiers and then up the mountain road to Meribel.

Chambery Airport to Tignes Transfers

Chambery airport is the closest of the airports to Meribel, even though this is a small airport you find a good few choices of weekend flights to and from the UK.

Places in the UK where you can fly from are Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, London City, London Stanstead.

The airline that provide flights to Chambery airport are British Airways, Jet2, and Flybe.

Whiterides provide Chambery Airport ski transfers to Meribel during the winter months only as flight are not schedule into Chambery out side the winter season. Journey time is usually between 1hr 15 and 30minutes at just over only 100 km in distance.

The route is motorway direct to Moutiers then up to resort.

Eurostar snow train to Tignes

Consider the new Eurostar route direct from London to Lyon Part-Dieu central train station where we can easily pick up from, or stay on the train to Moutiers for a swift 30 minute transfer up to the ski resort of Meribel.

Direct day trains to the French Alps are run on Saturdays between December-April and direct night trains run on Fridays from January-April.
